Community guidelines

Last updated 1 October 2026

LEVL is about training, and a Check In is a photo of real people in real gyms. These guidelines keep it a place people want to post. They apply to Check In photos, captions, photo descriptions, comments, display names and usernames. They sit alongside the Terms of Use, which set out what happens when they are broken.

What belongs here

What doesn't

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour.

Fair play

Log what you actually did. Logging training you didn't do to gain XP, rank or duel wins, or tampering with the app, is against the Terms. Scores gained that way may be corrected or removed.

Tools you control

How reports are handled

  1. Your report reaches the LEVL team. The app shows "Reported" only once our server has accepted it. If it couldn't be sent, the app says so and you can try again. The person you report is not told who reported them.
  2. Several reports hide content straight away. When three different people report the same Check In or comment, it is hidden from everyone automatically, before anyone has reviewed it.
  3. The team reviews every report. We look at reports once a day. We may put hidden content back if it doesn't break these guidelines, or remove it for good.
  4. We act on accounts. Breaking these guidelines can lead to content being removed and the account being suspended or closed, depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before. There is no fixed suspension process yet: we decide case by case.

Captions, photo descriptions, comments, display names and usernames are checked against a list of blocked terms as they are posted, and a match is refused. Photos are not scanned automatically, so your reports matter.

Serious harm and illegal content

If anyone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. If you're struggling, or thinking about harming yourself, you can talk to Samaritans for free, any time, on 116 123 (UK and Ireland) or at samaritans.org.

We remove illegal content and report it to the relevant authorities where the law requires or allows: in the UK, the Internet Watch Foundation and the police. Content involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child is removed and reported.

Questions and appeals

If you think we got a decision wrong, or want to tell us about something the in-app tools can't cover, email Levlup18@gmail.com. We may not reply to every report individually.
